Niagara Falls, Letchworth, and Darien Lake State Parks
Explore the Wonders of Western New York
Rivers Spring Lodge is located directly between the two natural wonders of Western New York, Niagara Falls, and Letchworth State Park. For a more local enjoyment of nature, we are also just down the road from the lovely Darien Lake State Park.
The majesty of Niagara is stunning and legendary and near the top of almost everyone’s bucket list. Explore around the trails, take a boat ride on the Maid of the Mist, and enjoy the many festivals that occur right in the Niagara region, just an hour’s drive away from us. The area has shopping, wineries, the Seneca Falls Casino, and of course the majestic Falls to experience.
Many travelers find the beauty of the deep, winding gorge that nature carved at Letchworth State Park just as inspirational as the majesty of Niagara Falls. The three falls at Letchworth, hiking trails, picnic areas, the museum, whitewater rafting, the trout pond, and the restaurant at the historical Glenn Iris Inn make this the perfect day trip while staying at River Spring. Frequently called the “Grand Canyon of the East”, Letchworth is always worth the 50 minute drive.
For enjoying the great outdoors without having a long drive, we of course first recommend River Spring Lodge’s own brand new hiking trails. However, for a full day of hiking, exploring, and enjoying all that Western New York nature has to offer, Darien Lake State Park is a wonderful option. Just down the road from us, enjoy hiking, swimming in Harlow Lake, playgrounds, fishing, and much more.
