River Spring Lodge is Open!

AN INHERENT RISK OF EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 EXISTS IN ALL PUBLIC SPACES WHERE PEOPLE GATHER. RIVER SPRING LODGE IS FOLLOWING SELECT SAFE, STAY SAFE PROTOCOLS FROM SELECT REGISTRY DISTINGUISHED INNS OF NORTH AMERICA. THESE HEALTH, SANITATION AND SAFETY GUIDELINES ARE ALL BASED ON RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL, U.S. TRAVEL ASSOCIATION, AMERICAN HOTEL & LODGING ASSOCIATION AND OTHER INDUSTRY LEADERS. THEY ARE DESIGNED TO COMMUNICATE THE ENHANCED, SANITATION AND OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES SELF-CERTIFIED INNS HAVE IMPLEMENTED TO PROTECT GUESTS AND STAFF IN THE ERA OF COVID-19

As innkeepers our greatest concern is the safety of our guests, our employees and of course each other. We take the responsibility of your trust in us to provide a safe, comfortable and memorable stay for you very seriously. We prayerfully pondered keeping the inn closed until a vaccine was widely available. As we read the guidelines of the CDC, learned from our local health officials and studied the enhanced safety protocols of the Stay Safe, Select Safe program we became convinced we could reopen safely now and provide truly exceptional overnight getaways with private, in room, Five-Course Wine Dinners for a few couples each evening without sacrificing the exceptional quality River Spring’s stellar reputation is built upon. At the same time we will be able to serve a few of our local dinner patrons in a socially distanced dining room.

Our biggest concern in reopening the lodge was the danger of the virus spreading in the dining room. We have always focused on serving a few couples each evening. We will have ample room to exceed social distancing requirements of six feet between tables by only serving a few couples each evening. Risk of contracting COVID in Wyoming County is very small, but we are following to the letter the requirements of our health officials. As a hotelier, I was grateful to hear that Governor Cuomo is restricting travel form the current COVID hotspots. We will enforce that mandate as well by following up on any reservation coming from those States Currently we are focusing on serving couples in our region who need a getaway and on regional and local diners who want a safe place to go for exceptional cuisine. We are also offering the option of a five-course wine dinner in our guest suites for overnight guests. We hope you will come see us soon!

We are apolitical and unapologetic about the safety of our guests, our employees and ourselves. Everyone must wear a face covering to enter the lodge, to and from their rooms and to and from their tables. Anyone refusing to comply with this State issued mandate will be refused service.

"A hidden gem! Absolutely delighted with the ambiance, the friendliness of Chef Dave and Carolyn and the food."
