At upscale restaurants, the Chef’s Table has always been reserved for the personal friends of the chef and other VIP guests. This table is either in the kitchen or in an adjacent private room. It is the most prestigious table in the house and the guests dining there have the privilege of interacting directly with the chef during the meal. It is in the spirit of that tradition that the Chef’s Table at River Spring Lodge was conceived.
A round sugar maple table is at the center of Chef Dave and Carolyn’s personal dining room. This table was custom built to host dinners for their friends and family. Boasting waterfront views and adjacent to a cozy fireplace, it is more than ten feet around, allowing as many as eighteen to dine comfortably while facing each other. It is the perfect setting for business dinners, board meetings, corporate entertaining, and family celebrations. Along with the warm and attentive service provided by Carolyn and the dining room staff, Chef Dave always checks on the guests while they are enjoying dessert.
