The Tradition of Dining at a Chef’s Table
At upscale restaurants The Chef’s Table has always been reserved for the personal friends of the chef and other VIP guests. This table is either in the kitchen or in an adjacent private room. It is the most prestigious table in the house and guests dining there have the privilege of interacting directly with the chef during the meal. It is in the spirit of that tradition that The Chef’s Table at River Spring Lodge was conceived.
The Beautiful Chef’s Table Dining Room
A round sugar maple table is at the center of Chef Dave and Carolyn’s personal dining room. They had this table custom built to host dinners for their friends and family. This beautiful table with waterfront views, by the fireplace and under the chandelier, is more than ten feet round allowing as many as eighteen to dine comfortably while facing each other. It is the perfect setting for business dinners, board meetings, corporate entertaining and family celebrations. Along with the warm and attentive service provided by Carolyn and the dining room staff, Chef Dave welcomes the guests before the first course is served. Once everyone is enjoying dessert, if appropriate, Chef Dave returns to the dining room to check on his friends and guests.
