At upscale restaurants The Chef’s Table has always been reserved for the personal friends of the chef and other VIP guests. This table is either in the kitchen or in an adjacent private room. It is the most prestigious table in the house and guests dining there have the privilege of interacting directly with the chef during the meal. It is in the spirit of that tradition that The Chef’s Table at River Spring Lodge was conceived.
At the center of Chef Dave and Carolyn’s personal dining room is a round sugar maple table that they had built to host dinners for their friends and family, meetings for their relationships in ministry and the monthly Meals for Missions nights that Dave and Carolyn host to feed and educate the children of Cabois, Haiti. This beautiful table, with waterfront views, by the fireplace and under the chandelier, is more than ten feet round allowing as many as eighteen to dine comfortably while facing each other. It is the perfect setting for business dinners and corporate entertaining.
Along with the warm and attentive service provided by the dining room staff, Chef Dave welcomes the guests before the first course is served. Once everyone is enjoying dessert, if appropriate, Chef Dave returns to the dining room to check on his friends and guests
Dining at The Chef’s Table is exclusively for private groups of eight or more. Country gourmet three course Chef’s Table dinners are $25 per person. Our multiple course fine dining events start with four courses at $35. Our five and seven course dinners include courses of shellfish and our dry aged prime beef and are priced accordingly. These dinner events have a set menu. Dietary restrictions and food allergies are gladly accommodated but a minimum of 72 hours notice is required.
